SECOND DAY: Meet with a pastoral guide in the morning. Visit the Shrine and participate in Holy Mass at the Grotto of the Apparitions. Visit the Memorial places of Saint Bernadette (the Boly Mill, her birthplace, the Cachot where she lived with her family at the time of the apparitions).

The Bétharram caves are a series of caves, dug over the years by an underground river, located in the villages of Lestelle-Bétharram from which they take their name, 15 kilometers from Lourdes: in addition to several villages, the caves are also located on the borders between the departments of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Hautes-Pyrénées and between the regions of Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées, in the south of France.
This is the largest cave complex in France and one of the largest in Europe, structured on five floors with a difference in height of 80 meters: inside there is a high level of humidity and a wide range of rocks and minerals. The excursion, lasting about an hour and a half, offers the opportunity to visit two large halls with stalactites, stalagmites, calcites and various rock formations that have taken bizarre shapes and other areas, reachable through corridors carved into the rock, along the the river, which have taken on different names, such as the hall of chandeliers, the theater and chaos. At the end of the visit we'll cross a small lake, crossing which in the past would have taken place by boats pulled with ropes, today by a boat guided along a submerged track. The way out of the caves is a half mile trip on a train.

The Pont d'Espagne, in Italian "Bridge of Spain", is a protected natural area of the Pyrenees, located in the municipality of Cauterets, in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, at a height of about 1,500 meters, part of the Pyrenees National Park. The Pont d'Espagne is located at the confluence of both the Gave du Marcadau and the Gave de Gaube, and of three valleys, at a height of 1,496 meters above sea level: the bottleneck-shaped topography favors the formation of numerous streams and waterfalls . The name Pont d’Espagne derives from a stone bridge that, in the past, allowed to reach Spain from France through the Pyrenees and was a very busy road, especially from a commercial point of view.

Gavarnie (Gavarnia in Occitan and Gascon) is a French commune in the Hautes-Pyrénées department of the Occitania region. More than the settlement, which counts only for the natural environment of inhabitants, Gavarnie is famous for its position and for the many wonders of its municipal area, Cirque de Gavarnie, an immense vertical elliptical wall formed by the steep slopes of the mountains. The valley floor, quite flat, has an elliptical shape whose smaller diameter has a width of about one kilometer. The viewpoint from the valley below on the array of sheer mountains with their countless waterfalls is spectacular, considering there is a difference in altitude of four to five hundred meters from one mountain to the next. The highest fall called the "Great waterfall" is 422 meters high, the highest in all of France.
