Pontifical Gardens of Castel Gandolfo
The wonderful gardens of the papal summer residence.
The Pontifical Gardens of Castel Gandolfo are a place where visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of a garden where the Popes themselves have often immersed themselves in the delightful respite that the garden greens have to offer.
The current arrangement of buildings, statues, and fountains dates back to the Renaissance era. There are numerous tree-lined avenues populated by century-old holm oaks.
The care and elegance with which the Gardens were created have made this area one of the most beautiful and visited places of the Alban Hills.
A stroll through the wonderful gardens of the Popes' summer residence.
